4 Weeks
Cannon loves his bouncy seat and his new swing. In the morning, he likes to sit in his bouncy seat in the bathroom while Mom showers and take a nap in the nice warm steam. He falls right to sleep. So cute!
Cannon is a good sleeper and pretty content most of the time, but we are still having issues with nursing. We've worked with nurses, the Pediatrician, La Leche League, a Lactation Consultant at the hospital and read a gazillion books and articles...as well as heard a gazillion opinions, tips, tricks, and pieces of advice. After 4 weeks of pain I'm worried that his bad latch is here to stay. But practice makes progress, right?
Being able to nurse is important to me and I'm not ready to give up (even though the Lactation consultant said she would have by now). I want to be able to say that I did my absolute best. So we keep pushing forward and trying new things. We've had lots of long nights and lots of prayers to make it through another day until it gets better.

Cannon has started grabbing at things more....mostly our hands. He sucks and chews on anything that gets too close to his mouth. :) When he insists that the binky in the next room over is just too far away, he'll grab at our hands so we will put a finger in his mouth. When he's really irritated he'll bite down really hard...what a little stinker. :)
