I'm sure we can all agree that January is just flying by! Last Friday (the 13th) marked exactly 3 months left until Peanut's due date!! Wowzers!! Anthony pretty much had a panic attack when he realized how little time we have left. LOL!
Anthony has been in school and working at the school newspaper selling advertising. He has a new passion with school that he didn't really have before, and is eager to get done. If plans go accordingly he'll have his Associates by July and could have his Bachelor's by next April.
As for me...my feet and lower legs still swell a lot, especially on my left side. But my chiro and Dr. agree that it's probably from pinched nerves and tight muscles in my lower back. When I exercise and stretch the swelling goes down. So my friend, Christine, and I have started walking on Tuesday and Thursday nights at the BYUI Center. We walk about 2 miles on the track while our hubbys play basketball. Usually the day after I walk my feet are at their best.
I really need to get more consistent with taking baby bump pictures. The last couple days I've felt like my belly had another growth spurt. Even with lotion I keep finding new little purple stretch marks :(. But we are both happy to know Peanut is growing. Here's what I look like today...
I'm still fascinated by feeling him kick and flip around in there. He's big enough now that I don't have to hold still and concentrate to feel him move. Occasionally he'll stretch out and kick me in my ribs, which is such a weird feeling! If it wasn't so uncomfortable it almost tickles. Weird, I know. :)
I'm hoping the patterns I've noticed in his movement are a sign of what his sleeping/waking schedule will be like....I know, I know...I said "hoping." He wiggles the most after I eat and when I lay down to go to bed at night. Sometimes at night if he's moving a lot and I'm ready to sleep I'll sing a lullaby or read out loud and he'll calm down.
He likes to tease too (just like his dad)! When he starts kicking a lot I'll have Anthony come sit by me so he can feel it. But almost every time, as soon as Anthony puts his hand on my belly Peanut calms down. No kicks for daddy, ha ha! I'm hoping maybe this means Anthony has special baby calming powers. I will certainly put those to good use. :)

You look great!
ReplyDeleteNinja would tease too and really, Stuart does have special baby calming powers with her.
Keep it up - the last few months will fly by! I'm so excited to see Peanut. I bet he's going to be one seriously handsome chap!
Getting so excited for you. One theory about baby movements is that they are lulled to sleep by your movements throughout the day (almost like being rocked while you're up and about) and then they're awake while you're still because they don't feel the soothing movements. Love you!
ReplyDeleteHey this is your cousin Heather! You look so pretty :-) I really liked the t shirt you made to announce the sex of your baby, really cool!
ReplyDeleteMy husband has been in school and working full-time as well... This has been for the past two years and our son just turned 2! He only just graduated in December. I just wanted to encourage you, it went by really fast!
Loving your updates. Time sure flies when you're preggers! You look adorable. Glad all is well.
